In 1991, a team of satellite and AV industry design professionals founded ESC Digital Media to address the changing requirements of the television broadcasting markets. Over 30 years ago we brought commercial satellite services, installing the first system for Lehman Brothers – a move that saw IP-delivered TV become the standard platform within the City’s major financial institutions. Today, we’re recognised as leaders in our field and a powerful force in tailored AV solutions across market sectors. Based in Surrey, England with administrative offices in Weybridge and a Research and Development facility in Byfleet, our reach extends to a discerning client base across the globe.

ESC Digital Media was the first company to fully develop the hidden or stealth dish farm utilizing our patented Vistec technology we can mimic most types of Louvre. RAL colours and glossiness can also be matched and coated onto the Vistec material These structures have been successfully used for many years for large corporations such as the London Stock exchange building. ESC have designed and installed many large antenna farms around the world these may be a corporate multi tenanted building or a whole island.

Satellite IRS

Satellite Integrated Receiving Systems (IRS) deliver satellite, TV aerial and radio aerial signals from a roof-mounted satellite dish to multiple points on a network installed anywhere from a communal residential building with traditional copper cabling to a corporate headquarter building with fibre optic connectivity.

Satellite IRS gives building occupants the freedom to subscribe and watch the media of their choice – from FM and DAB radio to Freeview and Sky HD – and a powerful broadcast infrastructure that removes the need for unsightly banks of rooftop satellite dishes. Satellite IRS is affordable, versatile and makes economic sense for building owners who want a flexible, trouble-free media distribution system for their residents

Whether we’re tasked with delivering 20 channels to a busy trading floor with 10 positions or a 42-storey tower with a 35,000-position capacity and 120 channels, we’re adept at designing and building tailored solutions that fit the exacting requirements our clients demand. These solutions can be integrated as part of a fully managed system or delivered stand-alone following a handover with training, but whatever the request, each system designed to be forward thinking and able to accommodate our clients’ changing needs. The Gherkin, London

The difficulties associated with being unable to install satellite antennae or aerial equipment onto the top of a glass room were one of the key challenges of this landmark project. However, ESC Digital Media overcame this hurdle by installing satellite-receiving equipment onto a separate building and distributed signals via a fibre connection that was laid under the street and into the Gherkin. A landlord-managed system was then installed into the tower and connection positions made available at each floor location for tenants to connect to as well.

HSBC Headquarters, London

ESC Digital Media was responsible for the design, supply and installation of the entire satellite and TV system at HSBC’s London HQ. The satellite dish farm and cabling infrastructure feeds more than 20 channels, which are then distributed using IP and Cat5 technology to over 11000 positions across the building.

LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE HEADQUARTERS,

ESC Digital Media designed, supplied and installed a satellite dish farm feeding satellite signals to over 200 positions within the building and fed a separate IF backbone to the entire building. Using our SDF technology, the satellite enclosure was designed and manufactured by ESC Digital Media and was fully compliant with planning requirements. Utilising our trademarked technology, we were able to meet the challenge to create a unique, tailored solution that ensured all dishes were obscured from view from the adjacent St Paul’s Cathedral. We also upgraded the entire distribution system at the London Stock Exchange to feed all TV signals over IPTV. This system also provides links to a further Exchange office via a fibre connection. CLAYTON HOTEL, FORMERLY HOTEL LA TOUR, BIRMINGHAM, UK

ESC Digital Media completed a project to supply and install over 30 satellite channels to this iconic hotel building. The system is delivered using TV and LAN technology to more than 250 end user positions and the wider system includes direct links to the hotel PMS system, electronic programmed guide and recording facility. The full system also incorporates a digital signage solution that is delivered to all meeting rooms in the hotel.

BANK OF AMERICA EUROPEAN HEADQUARTERS, LONDON UK

Using fibre to transmit and receive equipment, ESC Digital Media distributed all satellite feeds across this European Headquarters building and fed the entire dish farm over the Cat5/6 infrastructure to over 250 positions.
